Following the 2011 science fair season, the Tri-Valley Science & Engineering Fair was subsumed into the newly constituted Alameda County Science & Engineering Fair and the already extant Contra Costa County Science & Engineering Fair, both of which are now affiliated fairs of the California State Science Fair.

Students who attend school in either Alameda or Contra Costa County will now participate in the cognizant county science fair. Students in other counties should consult the complete list of CSSF affiliated fairs.
