2009 California State Science Fair

The 2009 California State Science Fair was held on May 18-19. This year the Fair took place entirely within the confines of the California Science Center located in Exposition Park. There were 965 participants from 374 schools throughout the State presenting projects in competition for over $50,000 in total awards.

• May 9: All Junior Division participants have been qualified into Round 2 of the Young Scientist Challenge.
• May 19: Awards Announced
• Some media coverage: KCAL TV 9
• May 31: First Photographs Posted. Category Awards photos now available. Other photographs from all three ceremonies and the judging period are in process.
• June 5: All participant portraits posted.
• June 10: Photos of all presentations on stage at both ceremonies are now posted.
• June 12: Recognition Awards photos now posted.
• June 29: All award and refund checks were mailed today.
