The 1996 California State Science Fair was held on May 20-21 in the Los Angeles Sports Arena. The Fair is hosted by the California Museum of Science and Industry. This year, 906 students presented 824 projects from 331 schools and met with about 300 practicing scientists and engineers serving as judges. The students came from every corner of the State, from Lassen and Humboldt counties in the North to San Diego and Imperial in the South to compete in this final science fair of the academic year.
